About Us

Building a Gospel Community

What We Believe

Rooted in the Truth of God's Word

Taylor Presbyterian Church is a daughter church of First Presbyterian Church of Dothan and a congregation of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA). We exist to glorify God by faithfully proclaiming His Word, making disciples, and cultivating a Christ-centered community where people can know Jesus, grow in their faith, and serve others with the hope of the Gospel.

As a PCA church, we are Evangelical, Reformed, and Presbyterian. We believe the Bible is the inspired and authoritative Word of God, that salvation is found by grace alone through faith alone in Jesus Christ alone, and that the Gospel transforms lives through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Our faith is rooted in the historic teachings of the Christian Church and the Reformed tradition, summarized in the Westminster Confession of Faith and Catechisms. We are also committed to biblical, elder-led leadership, believing Christ lovingly shepherds His Church through faithful pastors and elders who care for His people and uphold the truth of Scripture.

The Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) was formed to be a denomination that is “Faithful to the Scriptures, True to the Reformed Faith, and Obedient to the Great Commission.”

Sending to the Nations

God's heart is for every nation to know Him. We seek to pray for, support, and send missionaries as we participate in His work both locally and across the globe.

OUr Vision

Growing in Faith Together

Taylor Presbyterian Church exists to see the Gospel take deep root throughout the Taylor, Rehobeth, Malvern, and surrounding Wiregrass communities. Our vision is to be a church where people encounter the life-changing grace of Jesus Christ, grow as faithful disciples, and are equipped to live out their faith in every area of life.

We desire to be a Christ-centered, Gospel-preaching, disciple-making church that is deeply rooted in God's Word and actively engaged in our community. Our ministry is intentionally simple and relational, seeking to build authentic relationships marked by grace, truth, and the transforming work of the Holy Spirit.

As God grows His Church, we also hope to see new churches planted throughout the Wiregrass so that more people may hear and respond to the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Leadership

Faithfully Shepherding God's People

At Taylor Presbyterian Church, leadership is about faithfully serving Christ by caring for His people. Our desire is to lead with humility, teach God's Word with conviction, and cultivate a church where every person is encouraged to grow in their relationship with Jesus.

As a congregation of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA), we believe biblical leadership is rooted in servant-hearted ministry, faithful discipleship, and accountability. We are committed to shepherding our church family with wisdom, compassion, and a steadfast commitment to the truth of Scripture.

The Galloway Family

Caleb and his wife, Whitney, met while serving with Campus Outreach at Auburn University at Montgomery and were married in August 2007. Together they are raising four daughters and are grateful for the opportunity to serve alongside the people of Taylor Presbyterian Church.

Outside of ministry, Caleb enjoys spending time with his family, exercising, vegetable gardening, woodworking, hunting, reading thoughtful books, and sharing a good cup of coffee with friends. The Galloways are excited to call the Taylor and Rehobeth communities home and look forward to building lasting relationships as they faithfully serve Christ together.
